The Position The City of Baltimore’s Department of Public Works is seeking a strong leader who can run a large operational department, is committed to sustainability, communicates as effectively to employees in the field as elected officials, and will bring creative, problem-solving skills to solid waste management. The Solid Waste Bureau Head is under the classification of Operations Director I and is among the highest managerial levels in Baltimore City Government. Employees are responsible for directing programs that have a broad scope and major impact on agency missions and operations. Employees directly supervise Operational Managers and indirectly supervise technical, professional, and administrative staff. Under the supervision of the Director of Public Wor
