The Department of Geosciences at Princeton University announces competition for the 2024-2025 Harry Hess Fellows Program. This honorific postdoctoral fellowship program provides opportunities for outstanding geoscientists to work in the field of their choice. Research may be carried out independently or in collaboration with members of the Geosciences Department. This program seeks candidates who cherish and create an atmosphere of excellence and diversity. One or more Hess Fellows may be appointed.

Applications are due on October 31st, 2023 11:59 PM (EST). Applicants should include a cover letter, a curriculum vitae including a publication list, a 1-2 page statement of research interests and goals, and name, address and email address of three referees familiar with their work by applying on the Princeton University jobsite at https://puwebp.princeton.edu/AcadHire/position/31947. Hess Fellowships provide a competitive annual salary, depending upon experience, along with a significant allowance for travel to meetings and for research support. Initial awards are for one year, with the possibility of renewal depending upon satisfactory performance and available funding, at the rank of Postdoctoral Research Associate. A preferred starting date is on or before September 1st, 2024.
