General Summary The Director of Solid Waste is responsible for the daily management and operation of the Solid Waste Department.  Leads employees in the planning, development, implementation, coordination, and evaluation of all activities and programs of the Solid Waste Department.  Directs the sanitary disposal of all types of solid waste material; enforces sanitation ordinances and supervises the operation of the sanitary landfill.   DISTINGUISHING FEATURES: The Director of the Ada County Solid Waste leads a diverse team of administrative staff, technical specialists, and heavy equipment operators.  Provides administrative direction with assignments in terms of broadly defined missions or functions.  The Director has responsibilit
