The Monterey Regional Waste Management District is seeking a visionary leader, effective communicator, and business executive to serve as its General Manager. The ideal candidate will be a strategic and creative problem-solver who will provide staff with clear direction and lead in a way that motivates and inspires staff to achieve the goals and objectives of the District.
Candidates should possess a combination of education and experience in management and administration of a public or private agency responsible for solid waste management, recycling, and landfill operations. Background should include responsibility for formulation and implementation of programs, budgets, and administrative operations.
The starting salary range for the General Manager position is $189,000-$208,555; placement within this range is dependent upon qualifications and experience of the selected candidate.
