At the City of Olathe, Kansas we are "Setting the Standard for Excellence in Public Service".To continue this trend of excellence, we are recruiting for a Civil Engineer III to manage the design and construction of projects including but not limited to water and wastewater systems, treatment facilities, system rehabilitation projects, and inflow and infiltration; review and prepare plans, specifications, and contracts; and provide technical support to the Public Works Department.
Experience and Education Guidelines Any combination of experience and education that would likely provide the required knowledge, skills and abilities is acceptable. A typical way to obtain the knowledge, skills and abilities would be: Experience: Five to eight years of engineering and project management experience, preferably with experience in a municipality or Public Works department. A master's degree may be substituted for experience. Education: Equivalent to a bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with major course work in civil engineering or a related field. Licenses and Certificates: Must be a registered Professional Engineer in the State of Kansas, or able to obtain a professional engineering license in the State of Kansas within 6 months of employment. Possession of or ability to obtain a valid Driver's License
