Renewable Water Resources, a special purpose district created for the protection of public health and water resources, is seeking a successful candidate for the following position.
The selected candidate will serve as the GIS and CityWorks System Administrator for ReWa; maintain ReWa’s GIS and CityWorks system for data integrity and appropriate integration with financial and other systems and oversees schedules and communicates system updates in coordination with IT; lead staff and contractors responsible for ensuring ReWa’s GIS and CityWorks software provides a means for managing all asset information across the organization; work with functional and technical terms as a technical expert in ArcGIS and CityWorks SQL Server databases and schemes; coordinate Asset Management projects and software configuration by analyzing, designing, configuring, deploying and supporting service and work orders and generated reports related to Asset Management; troubleshoot and resolve problems with applications; device and modify programs and procedures to solve complex problems as a key member of the Asset Management Team; coordinate training for end-user support for Asset Management software and workflows; develop and implement policies, procedures and process changes required for successful Asset Management performance across the organization; schedule and provide technical, safety and security training for employees; requires to plan or direct others in the sequence of major activities and report on activities and information in which are very broad in scope; requires a working knowledge or experience with database systems, GIS and CMMS systems; supervise and lead others by determining work procedures, assigning duties, developing policies and maintaining harmonious work relationships; experience in project management and managing a complex program for successful outcomes across the organization; operate or troubleshoot complex computer software and systems that require extended training and experience; perform work involving the application of principles of logical thinking of scientific or computer system nature; must be able to diagnose or define problems, collect and analyze data and solve abstract problems with widespread department or organizational impact; use advanced mathematics and analytical skills associated with data management, data integration and computer programing; read technical and scientific journals, abstracts, financial reports and legal documents; speak before professional and civic groups, participate in panel discussions and speak extemporaneously on a variety of subjects; write complex articles and reports; develop presentations for sophisticated audiences; do professional-level work requiring the application of scientific, engineering, accounting or legal methods in the solution of technical, administrative or legal problems; extensive understanding of operating policies and procedures and the ability to apply these to complex problems; or the coordination of professional work in these disciplines; continuous, close attention for accurate results and frequent exposure to unusual pressures.

The successful candidate requires Bachelor’s degree with five (5) years of relevant work experience in Computer Science or Information Systems or similar work experience in an ArcGIS and MS SQL Server database support role; must possess a valid state driver’s license; experience and a working knowledge with asset management systems to support utilities/public works/engineering applications; advanced experience managing an ArcGIS Server in an enterprise environment; experience in administering a SQL Server database; experience in MS Office Applications; MCDBA and/or GISP Certification.
