MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONSEducation, Training and Experience Guidelines Bachelor's Degree in Environmental Science, Civil Engineering, or related field; AND five years of Wastewater operations experience, including two years of supervisory experience, preferably with City of Yuma; OR an equivalent combination of education, training and experience. LICENSE AND CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS A valid Arizona State Driver's License is required. Waste Water Treatment Plant Operator's Grade 4 certification from the Arizona Department of Environmental Quality (ADEQ) is required. ADEQ certifications in both W/WW functions are preferred; additional technical training and certifications may be required.PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORKING ENVIRONMENTWork is performed in a standard office environment and on location at City WW Utility plants with moderate physical requirements, and strength sufficient to lift and move items weighing up to fifty pounds; may be exposed to safety hazards and dangerous tools and equipment.
