This is responsible professional and supervisory work providing administrative and technical direction of water treatment plant operations. Employee is the designated KDHE "Operator in Responsible Charge" for the water treatment plant. Work is directed and reviewed through the establishment of goals and subsequent evaluation of progress toward goal attainment.

Required Experience and Training
Graduation from a four-year college with a degree in engineering, a related scientific field, or a substantial amount of experience, plus at least two years of experience applying scientific and technical principles in water treatment. Kansas Class IV Surface Water Supply System Operator Certification preferred. Offers of employment are contingent upon passing a pre-employment physical, which includes drug screening, and upon satisfactory evaluation of the results of a criminal record check.
