Jefferson County, WA Public Works Department is hiring a Utility Manager to lead two critical programs: Solid Waste Disposal and Recycling Services and development and implementation of a new wastewater treatment system in Jefferson County’s sole Urban Growth Area. This is a unique opportunity to lead the implementation of a new wastewater treatment facility, and maintain and build upon a successful solid waste management program.
The ideal candidate will be a highly motivated and organized leader with an outcome oriented approach and be current in trends and challenges of wastewater management and solid waste disposal and recycling services. Responsibilities include:

Bachelor’s Degree in business or public administration, civil engineering, utility management, or closely related field and four years of progressively responsible engineering/professional experience in planning, design, and/or construction of public works projects, with emphasis in solid waste management, wastewater and/or surface water management systems and the associated federal and state regulatory requirements, including two years at a supervisory level.
