Internship opportunity available with the Sacramento Metropolitan Air Quality Management District’s Mobile Source Section. Position designed to provide experience with project management, challenging assignments, and leadership training. Will assist with development, implementation, and analysis of Our Community CarShare Sacramento program.
Assist staff with Our Community CarShare Sacramento program oversight including the development and review of surveys, writing, editing and formatting various documentations such as proposals, presentations, articles, brochures, requests for proposals and contracts. Provide support with public outreach activities in the community and program website. Conduct site visits to encourage community engagement in low-income disadvantage communities. Provide support for program development and expansion. Responsible for maintaining program information, marketing materials, and business data.
Have a declared major in natural sciences, social sciences, interdisciplinary studies, environmental studies or possess the necessary knowledge and experience to successfully understand and perform the job duties. Strong writing, editing and document design skills. Strong research, analytical, oral and written communication skills Organized, detail-oriented with attention to quality, ability to multi-task with strong time management skills and ability to work independently. The applicant should be proficient in the Microsoft Office Suite including Excel, Word and PowerPoint. Experience in working with Disadvantage Communities and Multi-lingual is a plus. Must possess a valid Class C California Driver's License and have a good driving record.
Preferred Summer Hours: 25 - 35 hours per week
Preferred Hours During School Year: average 15-20 hours per week
