The purpose of this classification is to plan, direct, and oversee the staff and operations of Contract Management and Solid Waste Collections and Operations divisions for the department. Assists in developing and managing the annual budget, operating plan, strategic plan, and administrative divisions within the guidelines of County and departmental policies and procedures. Works with co-workers, other departments, media, public, and elected officials to provide collection services and administrative support.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Education: Bachelor's Degree in Business or Public Administration, Finance, or a related of study. Master's degree preferred.Experience: Seven (7) years of experience in the field of public works, solid waste management, or public policy. Five (5) years of progressively responsible experience in business or public administration, finance, and/or contract administration, to include lead or supervisory experience.
