The Nevada Rural Water Association is recruiting for a Wastewater Technical Assistance Specialist to join our team working throughout the state. NvRWA Specialists deliver high quality training and technical-managerial-financial assistance to the people working at wastewater and drinking water systems.
Our team members are self-driven and enjoy the freedom and flexibility of working from their home offices as they prepare and deliver assistance and training. They develop a network of contacts, get to know the issues, and carry out plans to address a wide range of matters facing rural utility systems. Travel is essential to meeting our contract deliverables; Assistance Specialists travel overnight fifty percent of the time or more. They develop and conduct both classroom and over-the shoulder style training sessions on a regular basis, and they write articles for our quarterly publication Water Logged. The ability to form positive working relationships to support communities is essential to success in these positions.
