The Staff Industrial Hygienist will perform tasks associated with the occupational health program for the Marshall Space Flight Center (MSFC) and ensure compliance with all applicable Federal and NASA requirements. The staff industrial hygienist will anticipate, recognize, evaluate and recommend controls for workplace hazards associated with normal facility operation as well as facility modification and construction at the MSFC buildings. Provide technical expertise and perform planning scheduling, monitoring, and reporting on various research and production operations. Represent the Occupational Health part of the contract during meetings concerning facility repairs and modifications, new facility designs, plans reviews, and construction activities as requested by the MSFC facility management contractor. Conduct standard Occupational Health inspections of facilities at MSFC as a part of the Industrial Hygiene group. Assist other industrial hygiene personnel on special work assignments. Incumbent will perform other assignments and duties as required.
