The San Joaquin County Public Works Department is seeking a highly experienced, self-motivated leader to join a progressive, public service employer who provides great opportunities for diverse assignments and professional growth. The ideal candidate will have professional engineering experience with a public sector employer specifically in the area of solid waste regulatory compliance, landfill construction and groundwater and landfill gas compliance issues.
Experience: Two years as a Registered Civil Engineer in an organization performing public works, or equivalent private sector, solid waste activities relating to solid waste regulatory compliance, landfill construction, groundwater and landfill gas compliance issues.**
Education: Graduation with a Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or closely related field from a college/university accredited by the Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology; and
Licenses and Certificate: Possession of a valid certificate of registration as a Civil Engineer as issued by the California Board of Registration for Professional Engineers and Land Surveyors; and possession of a valid California driver’s license.
