Hiring Range: $62,879 - $80,844/Year D.O.Q.
The City of Fayetteville is currently recruiting a Solid Waste Manager to plan, manage and oversee the activities and operations of the Solid Waste Division of the Public Services Department including solid waste, yard waste, vegetative debris, and recycling collection services. To perform complex operational analysis and to identify and recommend to their supervisor policy revisions or other changes to improve operational effectiveness and efficiency. To provide highly responsible and complex administrative support to the Assistant Public Services Director.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:Any combination of experience and training that would likely provide the required knowledge and abilities is qualifying. A typical way to obtain the knowledge and abilities would be:
Experience:Five years of increasingly responsible experience in Solid Waste management, public administration, or a related field, including three years of administrative and supervisory responsibility.
Training:Equivalent to an Associate's degree from an accredited college or university with major course work in public administration, business administration or a related field. A Bachelor's degree is preferred.
LICENSING & CERTIFICATIONS:
Preferred:Solid Waste Association of North America ("SWANA") certification; Engineering Technician certification; Environmental Engineer certification.
