Solid Waste Foreman
Summit County is recruiting an experienced foreman looking to make a difference throughout our County. This is a great opportunity for a motivated manager who will supervise, plan, and coordinate the daily operations of our solid waste facilities, and who is skilled in monitoring and adjusting operating techniques, to ensure efficient performances and regulatory compliance.
Considerable knowledge of State regulations governing the operations of solid waste facilities is required. Experience with large-scale earthwork practices, heavy construction equipment applications, and surveying principles is vital, along with an understanding of maintenance and repair required for construction, earth working, and miscellaneous equipment. Establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with County officials, supervisors, employees and the public is essential.
Minimum Qualifications include graduation from high school, plus one (1) year of specialized training, ten (10) years of experience operating medium to heavy equipment and tools related to landfill operation, and two (2) years of supervisory responsibilities. A Class B, or higher, Commercial driver’s license is required and must be submitted with your application.
Salary Range: $23.64 - $33.11/hr.
