The East Bay Municipal Utility District’s (EBMUD’s) Wastewater Planning and Wastewater Design Sections are seeking highly-qualified individuals with exceptional technical, problem-solving and communication skills. These Associate Civil Engineers will manage high-profile projects related to implementation of key initiatives in the Wastewater Department. The Department has a capital improvement plan valued at over $250M over the next five years. The selected individuals will perform a variety of complex engineering tasks associated with the planning, design, and operation of a large wastewater treatment plant and interceptor system. These individuals will play a key role in managing infrastructure improvements required to support the capital improvement program of the Wastewater Department. The salary range is $10,150 per month increasing to $10,657, $11,190, $11,750 and $12,338 after 6, 18, 30, and 42 months, respectively.

Experience in planning wastewater programs/projects, design of wastewater, recycled water, and/or water infrastructure, permitting and environmental documentation, and a master’s degree in a relevant field are highly desirable.
