You will serve as an Industrial Hygienist in the Industrial Hygiene Program Office (IHPO) of BR MEDICAL CLINIC FT WORTH.This announcement uses the Acquisition expedited hiring authority to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to certain positions in the competitive service.

Applicants must meet the following Basic Requirements of the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualifications Standards Manual: Applicants must possess:A Bachelor's or graduate/higher level degree in industrial hygiene, occupational health sciences, occupational and environmental health, toxicology, safety sciences, or related science that was accredited by an accrediting body recognized by the U.S. Department of Education at the time my degree was obtained. (Note - Courses in the history or teaching of chemistry are not acceptable); OR A Bachelor's degree in a branch of engineering, physical science, or life science that included 12 semester hours in chemistry, including organic chemistry, and 18 additional semester hours of courses in any combination of chemistry, physics, engineering, health physics, environmental health, biostatistics, biology, physiology, toxicology, epidemiology, or industrial hygiene. The degree was accredited by an accrediting body recognized by the U.S. Department of Education at the time my degree was obtained. (Note - Courses in the history or teaching of chemistry are not acceptable); OR A Certification from the American Board of Industrial Hygiene (ABIH).Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH) credentials from the American Board of Industrial Hygiene are desired, but not required.
