Job Description: The work performed is field work with outdoor facilities. Facilities that will be operated are in Henry and Shelby County. Some additional work may include various office works along with interaction and communications to fellow staff members, customers, and regulatory agencies.
The job candidate must have a minimum Kentucky Class I Wastewater License. Tasks to be performed: • Operate and maintain pumps, motors, blowers, and various other plant equipment • Monitor and record flow meters and system run hours • Service, maintain, and clean pipes, equipment, and overall plant • Clean sand filters and media filters • Monitor, operate, and troubleshoot electrical controls • Collect samples for analysis and maintain chain of custodies • Log plant operation details, on computer and in writing; prepare reports • Monitor treatment process and complete process control testing • Make treatment process adjustments as needed • Communicate client process with IFM staff
Personal requirements: • Lift and move a minimum of 75 pounds without assistance • Walk, kneel, bend, stoop, stand and climb stairs • Stand for long periods of time • Wear appropriate safety equipment • Utilize fine motor coordination, clear speech, and good visual acuity • Travel by car • Work in inclement weather • Coordinate multiple tasks simultaneously • Collect, interpret, and/or analyze complex data and information
