The Université du Québec à Montréal (UQAM) is looking for qualified candidates with teaching and research experience in environmental geology and geochemistry. Application files with the following research themes will be prioritized: geological and geochemical characterization of soils; assessment of environmental risks associated with the release of contaminants into the environment; remediation of contaminated sites; interactions between soil and surficial/geological environments (critical zone framework).
The successful candidate will teach at the undergraduate and graduate levels in the Department of Earth and atmospheric sciences and will be encouraged to develop a dynamic research program within the department and associated research center GEOTOP (www.geotop.ca). The research program must demonstrate the potential for collaborations with researchers working in disciplines such as hydrogeology, hydrogeochemistry, isotope and environmental geochemistry, and surface geology (pedology, geomorphology).
A full description (in French) of the job offer can be found here: https://www.rhu.uqam.ca/AffichageProfs/22107277.pdf
Applications should include: a letter of intent outlining career goals, an overview of the research program, a complete curriculum vitae, as well as three letters of recommendation (by email, directly from the signatories).
