Environment One Corporation has an excellent opportunity for a Field Service Territory Representative to join our Service Team! This new position would be responsible for the Southeast Territory. There is flexibility in where this position is based out of.
Purpose: Responsible for all facets of personally servicing our sewer system business in the assigned territory and as needed throughout the United States and abroad to include supporting Regional Managers and Distributors in conducting technical training on our systems, performing troubleshooting on our products, providing upgrade and update sales support, addressing warranty claims and resolving product issues with customers.
Core Responsibilities:•Provide timely technical support in person, by telephone or in writing.•Identify, analyze, and repair products at the customer's location, service centers, and in the factory.•Use test equipment to set up and evaluate the performance of product and parts.•Analyze the results of testing to develop solutions to any problems with design or parts.•Perform site surveys, installation inspections, and minor modifications as needed by contractor, engineer, or customer.•Document all service related activities and communicates with all departments in order to update them on products and customer issues.•Enter, review and process warranty claims and startup sheets.•Process, test, and communicate results on returned materials (RMA).•Provide individual and group training on product assessment, troubleshooting, repair, installation, and warranty policies to Regional Managers, distributors, third party service providers, and customers. Training is provided in person, over the phone, or via web conference. This is roughly 50% of the time.•Provide onsite field service assistance including repair and installation work with customers and distribution personnel. This is roughly 25% of the time. •Sells company products and services through distributors and/or direct sales. Roughly 25% of time will be spent prospecting and product demonstration. •Identify, coordinate, track and execute prospecting efforts with engineers and operators, independent and in conjunction with Distributors, to generate demand that would be fulfilled through the distribution partner.•Maintains constant awareness of markets, competitor activities and problems with assigned area; recognizes trends that develop and takes corrective action or makes appropriate recommendations as required.•Developing annual business plans with Field Service and Regional Sales Managers which includes setting sales goals and planning market development activities (i.e. product demonstrations, service assistance, product training, factory visits with potential customers and engineers).•Participate in marketing events that E/One & Distributors hold (e.g., on-site customer events, forums, trade shows etc.)•The Field Service Territory Representative must use critical reasoning skills, contingency planning and adjustment strategies which may include working with the Regional Manager. •Mentor new technicians and potential trainers on all aspects of Field Service.•Work with distribution on any large-scale effort.•Participate in determining trends evaluations of warranty claims and RMAs•Assist with identification & resolution of field product issues & product development•Assist with the development of new products•Assist with developing and maintaining service materials, tools and training programs•Maintains a thorough knowledge of products and services.•Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Requirements:
•High School Diploma or equivalent, required. Associates degree in related technical field, preferred.•Possess strong mechanical and electrical skills. Two years of field troubleshooting experience•Ability to read and work from blue prints and schematics.•Requires knowledge of MS Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Internet Explorer and Outlook – Google Chrome and Firefox a plus.•Solid oral communication skills both verbal and written to accurately describe problems and communicate with customers.•Able to use full range of motion to lift up to 50 pounds comfortably including bending, reaching, climbing, pulling, and pushing to perform the physical requirements of the job safely.•Must have a valid driver's license and clean driving record
