This position is responsible for managing the operations of the Watershed Division, including ensuring compliance with the City's Phase II Stormwater Permit.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
The Water Resources Management Assistant Director assigns work in terms of division goals and objectives. The supervisor reviews work through conferences, reports, and observation of division activities.
Guidelines include Federal Phase II Stormwater regulations; the City's erosion and sedimentation control ordinance and standards; Watershed Division standard operating procedures; the City's Water Resource Management Â and Public Works Design and Construction Manuals; the City's Illicit Discharge ordinance; the City's Stream Buffer ordinance; the Alabama Handbook on Erosion Control, Sediment Control and Stormwater Management on Construction Sites and Urban Areas; the Clean Water Act; Alabama Department of Environmental Management regulations; U.S. EPA regulations; U.S. Army Corps of Engineers regulations; City and department policies and procedures; and City of Auburn Core Values, Vision, and Mission statements. These guidelines require judgment, selection and interpretation in application.
