Construction Safety Specialist
Berkeley Lab’s Environment, Health, & Safety Division (EHS, http://www2.lbl.gov/ehs/) has an opening for a Construction Safety Specialist to join their Construction and Maintenance Field Support Team! In this role, you will provide a broad range of industrial hygiene and technical safety support for a wide variety of complex constructions projects, maintenance activities, subcontractor field work and consultation in many subject matter areas.
- Silica Program
- Construction and Maintenance Field Support Safety Program
- Roof Access Program
- Beryllium Program
What is Required:
- Minor lifting (up to 25 lbs).
- Frequent standing and walking.
- Moving in confined spaces.
- Climbing stairs.
- Inspecting equipment requiring reaching with hands, arms, and using hands to handle or feel.
- Frequently stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.
- Extensive walking, climbing, working at various heights, working on construction sites with poor footing and other construction hazards.
