ENVIRONMENTAL COMPLIANCE INSPECTOR
$4,346.00 - $6,742.00 Monthly
Under general supervision, the Environmental Compliance Inspector maintains environmental compliance oversight for designated sections of the wastewater and stormwater system, storm drains, and associated domestic trunklines as well as industrial discharges into the wastewater treatment facility. The inspector also performs technical tasks of modest to moderate complexity within the city to ensure compliance with Federal, State and local pretreatment standards and requirements. This position also performs investigations of discharges into the sewer systems, the city's waterways and the nearshore. Studies in environmental science or related field, and experience in a wastewater field or laboratory are typical ways to qualify for this position.

Basic proficiency in digital productivity software, especially Microsoft software including MS Word and EXCEL.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Any combination of education and experience that provides the knowledge, skills and abilities combined with any required licenses and certificates is qualifying. A typical way to obtain the required qualifications is to possess the equivalent of the following:
Two (2) years of experience in a wastewater field such as operations or laboratory.
Possession of CWEA voluntary certification as Environmental Compliance Inspector Grade I.
