Central San, a progressive public utility, is seeking an Electrical Technician. This position will perform a variety of skilled tasks in the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of electrical systems at the treatment plant and pumping stations.
Education and Experience:
Three years of journey-level experience in industrial electrical maintenance and repair work.
Equivalent to the completion of the twelfth grade, supplemented by substantial training as an electrician such as the completion of an apprentice program.
Special Physical Requirements:
Must be able to wear respiratory protection device for dust protection and while painting and using certain chemicals and solvents. May be required to enter confined space. Must be able to wear S.C.B.A. and perform job duties while wearing protective equipment and S.C.B.A. weighing 32 pounds.
Possession of a valid California Driver's License. A valid out-of-state driver’s license will be accepted during the application process. Must possess a valid California Driver’s License within 90 days of appointment.
