Performs administrative duties necessary for the management of the facility, its staff, and budget. Monitors, directs and controls plant processes to meet permit requirements. Responsible for development and updates to standard operating procedures and quality standards for water treatment operations, implements procedures and provides guidelines to provide for staff training. Supervises the operation and maintenance of the water treatment plant. Provides technical advice to the Director on treatment and administrative matters affecting the operation and maintenance of the plant. Ensures compliance with relevant federal and state regulations; gathers data and prepares reports to demonstrate compliance.
Typical Hours/Days: 8:00 am-4:30 pm. Monday - Friday. Hours and Days will vary with projects, weather events and emergencies. You will be required to carry cell phone 24/7, 365 days a year.
Bachelor’s degree in engineering, chemistry, microbiology or a related field; AND five years’ relevant experience at a water treatment plant; AND at least three years' experience in a supervisory or leadership role; OR an Associate’s degree or technical certificate in water treatment; AND 7 years' experience at a water treatment plant, AND at least three years’ experience in a supervisory or leadership role.
Certified as a North Dakota Water Treatment Class IV Operator or equivalent is desirable. If applicant is granted an interview, resume, certifications, licenses, must be uploaded with the application or a hard copy made available to the interview panel at the time of the interview.
