Renewable Water Resources, a special purpose district created for the protection of public health and water resources, is seeking a successful candidate for the following position.
The selected candidate will inspect, monitor and perform daily pump station operations; install, program, calibrate, and/or repair a variety of instrumentation and electronic equipment at utility plants and related facilities, which may include variable frequency drives, flow meters, transducers, generators, transfer switches, programmable logic controls, integrated controls, motor control panels, electrical services, branch circuits, sub-feeders, lift station panels, data flow systems, or antennas; inspect equipment and processes to determine efficiency of operations, maintenance requirements, and cleanliness; troubleshoot problems with electrical equipment / instrumentation; perform preventive maintenance on electrical equipment; perform and/or assist with scheduled and unscheduled equipment repairs as needed; assist in troubleshooting, maintaining and repairing mechanical equipment; order parts, supplies and materials as needed for maintenance and repair work; perform wastewater well cleaning as needed; maintain assigned vehicle, tools and equipment; alert supervisors to unusual operating problems; assist in ensuring pump station compliance with agency policies and procedures, regulatory guidelines, and all other applicable laws, regulations, and standards of quality and safety; prepare and maintain accurate and complete work records; perform general clerical work as required, including preparing records and reports, complete forms, copy and file documents, enter and retrieve computer data, answer the telephone, etc.; attend meetings, trainings, seminars, etc., as appropriate to enhance job knowledge and skills; serve on call 24 hours a day as scheduled, and respond to emergency situations as necessary; general knowledge of the installation, repair, troubleshooting, and replacement of all electrical components associated with general municipal facilities, including water and wastewater treatment and pump station equipment; general knowledge of the National Electrical Code, skilled in the use of all diagnostic equipment to successfully repair electronic components, ability to prepare reports, ability to read and understand electrical schematics and line diagrams.

The successful candidate requires a high school diploma, GED or specialized vocational training; must possess a valid state driver’s license; must possess or be able to obtain an S.C. Electrical Journeyman or Master Electrician license within (2) two years from the date of employment; must possess or be able to obtain a Position “D” Wastewater Voluntary Collection System Certification within one year from the date of employment; must possess or be able to obtain forklift operator certification and permit required confined space certification within six (6) months from the date of employment; may be required to obtain other technical/safety certifications as deemed necessary by supervisor; NIMS 100, 200, and 700 training certificates within 12 months of hire; minimum (2) two years and up to and including four years of experience preferred.
