The candidate will assist with the analysis and oversight of CCWA Water Production, Water Reclamation, Stormwater and Distribution/Conveyance Departments and will direct operations in the General Manager’s absence. Implement and maintain processes for improving the efficiency and quality of CCWA operations and activities including a benchmarking or continuous improvement program. Active participant in policy development and implementation. Candidate will assist the General Manager in overseeing the daily operations of CCWA and in carrying out special projects as assigned.
Participates in regional and statewide planning processes related to CCWA activities. Meets with department managers to review their performance and annual budgets and makes recommendations for the approval of, or changes to, the overall budget for CCWA in cooperation with the General Manager. Contributes to the planning and facilitation of monthly Board meetings and the review of Board meeting minutes.
Ensures the efficiency of operations; manages Strategic Master Plan Projects; drive improvements to asset management for plants, pipelines, vehicles and equipment; co-leader with Assistant GM of Support Services in support of the General Manager.
A four year college degree in business management or minimum of eight years of progressive management experience supervising utility operations and support personnel is preferred. The successful candidate will be able to handle numerous projects simultaneously with frequently changing priorities.
