We are currently looking for a Safety Director to join our growing team!
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:• Lead TtECI’s Health and Safety Program, helping set the tone and direction for the organization, while reporting directly to the TtECI President.• Supervise EHS personnel and other personnel who serve the function of Site Safety and Health officers who provide health and safety services to project sites and office locations.• Serve as a Program CIH on major Federal contracts. Must be willing to travel.• Develop and/or conduct training courses for job site staff and offices and supervise the maintenance of appropriate records.• Oversee the use and maintenance of monitoring equipment.• Able to prepare and/or review Accident Prevention Plans, Site Health and Safety Plans, Air Monitoring Plans, Job Safety Analyses, and other safety related plans as required by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers EM 385-1-1 and other Federal and Commercial clients.• Contribute to the development of Environmental, Safety, and Quality (ESQ) policies and procedures and coordinate their implementation.• Develop or assist in the development of ESQ Program input for proposals including cost estimates.• Remain current with developments in and the interpretation of OSHA regulations and standards.• Up to 50% of work will be performed at project sites throughout the United States.• Perform various other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in Science (Chemistry, Physics, Biology, or other Science).• 10+ years of construction or hazardous waste experience.• Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH) American Board of Industrial Hygiene is required.• Certified Safety Professional (CSP) is preferred.
