The General Manager serves as the Chief Executive Officer of the District and is responsible for the administration and implementation of the District’s policies and programs as adopted by the Board of Directors. The General Manager services at the pleasure of the Board of Directors and is responsible to plan, manage, and direct the operations of the District to ensure compliance with State statutes, District goals, policies, and applicable governmental regulations to support high quality, cost effective, and dependable potable water service, wastewater collection and treatment, and surface water management. Responsibilities and assignments are broad in scope and require independent judgment on issues that are complex, interpretive, and evaluative in nature. The work of this position involves significant accountability and decision-making responsibilities.

Oversees and evaluates potable water operations, surface water management and wastewater collection and treatment plant operations to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local requirements, and to maintain processes at an optimal and cost-effective level and ensure operational status; directs programs, projects, and operational changes to meet these requirements.
