Hiring Range: $73,486.40 - $106,558.40
THE OPPORTUNITY - Directs the day-to-day operations of assigned activities within the District's Pretreatment/ Industrial Waste Control Program. Assists the Regulatory Compliance Officer in the ongoing design, development, and administration of the Program. Works under the direction of the Regulatory Compliance Officer. Supervises Pretreatment staff, including the Senior Industrial Waste Specialist, Industrial Waste Specialists, Industrial Waste Investigators, and Amalgam Control Program Investigators, as assigned.
Bachelor's degree in science (e.g., chemistry, biology, environmental, engineering), or other related field or equivalent combination of experience and education (see below), previous supervisory experience and previous experience as a Senior Industrial Waste Specialist or an Industrial Waste Specialist or equivalent level position. Must have good communication and supervisory skills and the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships.
Equivalency equals two years of directly related professional experience for every year of education not completed. The stated experience requirement is in addition to any experience used to meet the education equivalency. For this position, in addition to the required Industrial Waste Specialist or equivalent level position experience, equivalency would be an Associate’s Degree in Science plus 4years of directly related professional experience or 8 years of directly related experience without a degree.
Working knowledge of industrial wastewater control monitoring and analysis. Three or more years’ experience in industrial waste control program administration. Two or more years of supervisory experience.
