Located in Fernandina Beach, FL the Environmental Engineer provides oversight and technical support for company regulatory compliance programs. Work collaboratively to develop, augment and implement programs, systems, and tools to ensure compliance with EHS regulations and to respond to issues. Scope includes developing programs to ensure compliance with legal requirements and corporate policies; overseeing compliance activities at Wood Procurement and SWP sites; monitoring developments in regulations and agency policies and evaluating implications for the company; and providing technical and regulatory support for projects.
Bachelors degree in engineering, environmental science or similar technical discipline. Minimum of five years experience in regulatory compliance, with experience in development and implementation of management systems. Knowledge of regulations, including RCRA, Clean Water Act (storm water, SPCC), CERCLA/EPCRA, TSCA (PCB), Consumptive Water Use, Storage Tanks (ASTs); familiarity with DOT (Hazmat) regulations preferred. Special emphasis and experience with regulatory management systems is required; experience with other environmental program areas is preferred Familiarity with DOT hazmat regulations preferred. Demonstrated ability to build relationships and work collaboratively both as a leader and a member of a team required. Must possess superior communication skills.
