Baylor seeks to fill the following clinical non-tenured faculty position in the Environmental Health Science Program and the Department of Environmental Science.
The Environmental Health Science Program at Baylor University seeks an experienced environmental health science professional to join the dynamic faculty. The successful candidate will coordinate MPH practicum experiences, teach environmental health science courses primarily at the graduate level, and engage public health efforts across campus. Applicants must have a terminal degree; significant practice-based experience in environmental health is required. The position is slated to begin in December 2018.
This position is a “non-tenure track” position that will focus on coordinating practicums, teaching and engaging research in a new MPH concentration in Environmental Health Science and a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Health Science. A commitment and ability to work in multidisciplinary teams is important. The successful applicant will engage in the year-round coordination of a new MPH in environmental health science; teach at graduate and undergraduate levels in our environmental public health program; contribute to Ph.D. programs; help recruit and mentor a broad and diverse range of students; engage in the programmatic work and activities of the Environmental Health Science and the Baylor Public Health Programs; and serve the university and public health profession. Due to our current and pending multidisciplinary partnerships, this person must be committed to expanding the health-related, multidisciplinary footprint of Baylor University. This person will play an essential role on collaborative, multidisciplinary teams of specialists in environmental toxicology and chemistry, public, population, and global health at Baylor University.
