WSP is currently initiating a search for a
Senior Manager -
Industrial Hygiene Services
Duties and Responsibilities:
Manage 8-12 technician level employees and associated subcontractors as required for multiple projects
Market services including asbestos, lead and mold
Prepare proposals for building survey, design and monitoring services
Manage multiple simultaneous asbestos, lead-based paint and mold investigations and designs
Prepare asbestos, lead-based paint and mold investigation reports and associated design/specification documents
Perform Quality Control reviews of reports and designs
Manage project budgets and prepare invoices
Manage health and safety for projects
The position occasionally requires some emergency response, night, and weekend work and some overnight travel (10% travel required)

B.S., Environmental Science, Engineering OR other related scientific discipline, Master Degree preferred
Must be able to use a computer and be functional using MS-Word, Excel, PPT
Good writing skills is essential to this position
Approximately 10-15 years of environmental experience in New York City and/or in-depth knowledge and understanding of New York State and New York City agencies and environmental regulations
Strong attention to detail with excellent analytical, judgment and problem-solving capabilities
The candidate must be self-motivated and a team player with a positive attitude
New York State/New Jersey Professional Engineer, Certified Safety Professional (CSP) or Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH) preferred, but not required
NYS Department of Labor (NYS DOL) Licensed Asbestos Inspector / Project Designer
NYC Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) Asbestos Investigator
NYS DOL – Mold Assessor
EPA Lead Inspector and/or Risk Assessor
SSPC (C3/C5) – Lead Supervisor/Competent Person for Commercial Building/Superstructures
10-hour OSHA certification
