DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
REQUIRED MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:Current registration as a Colorado Professional Engineer or ability to transfer current out of state registration within one year. Bachelor of Science Degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited engineering university plus a minimum of four years of experience in engineering design and construction. Thorough knowledge of and experience with current engineering principles, practices, procedures, materials, and equipment as they apply to municipal wastewater treatment, wastewater conveyance, energy management and water quality. Knowledge of federal, state and regional programs, regulations and policies dealing with storm water, flood management, water quality and wetlands. Good written and verbal communication skills including; the ability to prepare clear and concise written correspondence, reports, and recommendations; and to make oral presentations. Knowledge and experience in the use of computers and engineering software applications. Valid driver's license. Have and maintain acceptable motor vehicle record and criminal history. DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS – In addition to the required minimum qualifications:Master of Science Degree in Civil Engineering or related field. Four or more years of engineering experience in municipal water programs and projects with a public utility or consulting engineering firm. Experience with water modeling software such as EPANet, WaterGEMS, or InfoWater.
