The Upper Occoquan Service Authority (UOSA), a leader in water reclamation, has an immediate opening for a Regulatory Affairs Coordinator in our Executive Division.
The Regulatory Affairs Coordinator provides in-depth professional research, analysis and evaluation of regulatory activities impacting the wastewater treatment industry and directives of federal, state and local entities. The incumbent monitors UOSA's regulatory programs to insure timely compliance with all regulatory obligations. The Regulatory Affairs Coordinator advises the Mission Support Team of the technical, operational and financial impacts of existing and proposed regulatory rules, regulations, and directives and informs the Executive Director of schedules for rulemaking, issues and initiatives. The Regulatory Affairs Coordinator evaluates impacts and recommends implementation strategies to effectively and efficiently comply with regulatory requirements. The ideal candidate prepares and coordinates UOSA correspondence with regulatory agencies and performs related work as required.
The incumbent is responsible for ensuring that UOSA is aware of and responsive to relevant existing and proposed regulations. Prepares regulatory filings for federal, state, and local programs related to, but not limited to, the Clean Water Act (CWA), the Clean Air Act (CAA), the Resource Conservation and Recovery Act (RCRA), and OSHSA and VOSH. Prepares and coordinates UOSA correspondence with regulatory agencies.
