JOB SUMMARY Responsible for the growth and retention of Synagro;’s services base business within assigned sales territory through developing new business and cultivating and expanding current clients. Tasked with meeting sales goals, building and maintaining relationships, networking, and promoting our brand within the designated territory. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/RESPONSIBILITIES 1. Conducts the selling activities within designated territory, inclusive of operational, competitor and customer interactions. Prioritizes effectively and in accordance with company objectives. 2. Identifies and evaluates market trends that affect current and future growth of territory sales and profitability. Formulate and execute plans to leverage opportunities and counter threats. 3. Develop and maintain strong relationships with current and future clients. 4. Leverage product/operational knowledge to create sales strategies attractive to potential clients. 5. Keeps informed of competitive offerings in the area; formulates plans for effective positioning against all threats. 6. Keeps informed of new products, services and other general information of interest to clients. 7. Works closely with business partners to coordinate execution of services. 8. Assist in proposal development. 9. Acts as internal project champion driving projects forward. 10. Serve as a brand advocate and ambassador in every interaction with clients and the public as well as trade shows
1. Demonstrates a service oriented customer focus with proven experience in relationship building and providing quality customer experiences. 2. Strong closing and negotiating skills. 3. Must be an articulate and fluent communicator, written and verbal, and at ease with public speaking. 4. Demonstrated strong interpersonal and relationship building and maintaining skills. 5. Ability to rapidly learn and retain product/service specific information and utilize to position the features and benefits to customers .6. Computer literate with knowledge of Microsoft Office and CRM software. 7. Superior organizational and analytical skills with keen attention to detail and quality. 8. Ability to prioritize and multi-task in a flexible, fast paced and challenging environment. 9. Must possess the ability to maintain flexibility to travel.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE 1. Bachelor’s degree in business or related field. 2. 3+ years’ experience selling value-based services (preferred: in the municipal or industrial water/wastewater treatment, environmental services, construction, energy or engineering industries). 3. Valid drivers’ licenses. 4. Safe driving record: No serious tickets or accidents in last 5 years or DWI/DUI in last 10 years
