Johnson County Wastewater is looking for qualified candidates to fill the position of Treatment Superintendent. This position oversees operations for a wastewater treatment complex located in Johnson County, Kansas. The Treatment Superintendent is responsible for tasks associated with operations of the facility, including supervision, training, and development of staff. Job duties include the following:
Schedule and conduct treatment plant tours and provide customer service in response to questions and complaints.
High school diploma or equivalent is required. Five years of experience in mechanical, maintenance, or other industrial or field based work in a water or wastewater field is required along with three years of experience in a role leading, directing, or supervising the work of others. A driver's license and good driving record are also required.
An Associate's degree in Environmental Sciences or other related field is preferred. A Class IV KDHE Operator License is also preferred along with one year of experience in the operations and maintenance of a wastewater treatment or collection system.
Education can substitute for experience.
