Under general supervision, the Water Quality Laboratory Supervisor trains, assigns, schedules, reviews and evaluates the work of assigned staff performing a wide variety of laboratory activities associated with a full service environmental testing facility involved in water and wastewater analysis. Acts as a staff specialist regarding water quality and water pollution investigations.
A Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university in chemistry, biological sciences, bacteriology, environmental engineering, biochemistry, toxicology, chemical engineering or closely related field which can be directly related to the knowledge and abilities for the option being tested.
Four years of progressively responsible laboratory experience performing technical analysis work, two years of which must have been in the option being tested for. A master's degree in any of the above educational field may be substituted for one year of the required general experience.
