The South Tahoe Public Utility District is seeking qualified applicants for the position of Lab Director. Under direction of the Assistant General Manager, the Lab Director is responsible for directing all activities of the Laboratory, including monitoring of the wastewater treatment plant, potable water system, UST remediation systems’ sewer discharges, Alpine County water reclamation, Indian Creek Reservoir TMDL, and commercial testing.
The position requires a Bachelor’s Degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Biology or related science. Requires a minimum of eight years’ experience in water or wastewater analyses and a minimum of three years supervisory experience. Possession of AWWA and CWEA Grade III Laboratory Technologist certificate or ability to obtain within 18 months of hire.
