The National Association of Home Builders (NAHB) is seeking a stormwater program manager to provide technical assistance and policy guidance on a range of urban water topics. Candidates must have experience implementing federal, state or local stormwater requirements. Knowledge of other federal environmental laws impacting land development and construction is a plus. The Program Manager will represent the housing industry at national conferences and events, direct research and technical assistance efforts, and lead national construction, real estate and development coalitions to comment on federal regulatory proposals.
Successful candidates will have deep knowledge of technical aspects of the NPDES program, as well as federal rulemaking processes. Direct experience analyzing legislative/regulatory documents is a plus. Candidates must have strong research skills and ability to work independently. Demonstrated written, verbal and analytical skills are required.
Candidates should have a minimum of three years of environmental policy experience. A Master’s Degree in environmental science, planning, engineering or related discipline, or the equivalent in education and experience, is required.
