Under limited supervision, directs, plans, manages, and oversees the Asset Management Program associated with the construction and/or rehabilitation of current and future infrastructure of the collection and distribution systems. Plans, schedules, and manages staff associated with the modeling, design, drawing preparation, applicable permits, field inspection, and project management, ensuring compliance with all applicable policies, procedures, standards and regulations. Reports to the Director of Collection and Distribution.
Some of the duties are as follows:
Requires a Bachelor of Science in Civil or Environmental Engineering with a minimum of 8 years experience or any equivalent combination of training and experience, which provides the required skills, knowledge and abilities. Experience in the management and supervision of exempt and non-exempt personnel. Must be able to understand and utilize various construction materials and methods utilized in the maintenance and construction of water distribution and wastewater collection and knowledge of project management, construction administration and managing and scheduling of resources. Must be proficient in the use of a computer and information technology and possess a valid driver’s license. Requires Licensure as a Professional Engineer by the State of South Carolina.
