The Wastewater Treatment Operation & Maintenance (O&M) Supervisor performs a variety of specialized technical tasks in support of the Operations Division in the Wastewater Group. The position focuses on the supervision of a large activated sludge wastewater treatment plant as well as the management of the personnel directly involved in the treatment process. Under general direction, the Wastewater Treatment O&M Supervisor plans, schedules, organizes, and directs a work unit program comprised of skilled personnel engaged in the operation and maintenance of a large wastewater treatment plant; ensures the proper, efficient and safe operation of the collection and treatment systems and facilities; provides for program support and participation with internal and external stakeholders; and performs related duties as assigned. The Wastewater Treatment O&M Supervisor is responsible for formulating and developing work unit goals and objectives, supervising assigned personnel and directing day-to-day activities. Work and results are reviewed through regular individual and team meetings, inspection and analysis of records, reports and plant performance. Previous experience in a leadership role is required.
