The purpose of the position is to inspect construction of all types of public works projects, including, but not limited to, improvements, modifications and additions to the City's utilities system, including water treatment plant, pump stations, pipe distribution systems and underground utility systems, to ensure compliance with all applicable City, state, and federal code and regulatory requirements. Plans, reviews, and recommends engineering permits; inspects contractor work in public rights-of-way.
