The National Science Foundation (NSF) is seeking a qualified candidate to fill the position of Program Director in the Division of Earth Sciences’ (EAR) Geobiology and Low-Temperature Geochemistry program. This program supports innovative research on geochemical processes in terrestrial Earth’s surface environmental systems, as well as the interaction of geochemical and biological processes. The program supports field, laboratory, theoretical, and modeling studies of these processes and related mechanisms at all spatial and temporal scales.
Open & closing dates: 09/12/2017 to 11/09/2017
Salary: $130,692 to $174,569 per year.
Candidates must have a Ph.D. in a discipline relevant to Geobiology and Low-Temperature Geochemistry, with preference for individuals with expertise in geomicrobiology, in addition to six or more years of successful research experience, research administration, and/or substantial managerial experience in academe, industry, or government after award of the Ph.D.
Appointment type: Temporary - This position will be filled as a one- or two-year VSEE, IPA, or as a Fed Temp Appointment.
