Responsible for leading the monitoring, analysis, policy development, program development, and program assistance in each of the areas of air, materials / waste, noise, and water. Serves as the department focal point for leading the analysis of emerging environmental regulations in each program area. Directs programmatic changes to the corporate environmental policy manual to assure compliance with the latest international, federal, state, and local environmental compliance obligations. Support company’s global environmental strategy, policies and programs by collaborating with Government Affairs, International, Regulatory, and Policy, Finance, and other company divisions. Work with head of environmental department and Director of Environmental Responsibility and Stakeholder Affairs to influence emerging legislation/regulation to minimize long term compliance burden. Responsible for leading the implementation of the company's compliance strategy for air regulations on international, federal, state, and local levels. Responsible for compliance with the European Union Emissions Trading Scheme as well as emerging market-based emission programs such as that being developed at the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) level of the United Nations. Oversee the monitoring and tracking of ground equipment fleet based rules to verify targets and goals are being met. Responsible for directing and implementing climate change and noise policies and strategies associated with the company's global operations. Supports development and cross-divisional coordination of company's global climate change strategy including domestic and international legislative and regulatory positions, as well as leads the company's position development on airport environmental policies.
