Under the general supervision of the Authority Board of Directors, is responsible for all management aspects of the landfill, which provides solid waste disposal services for numerous municipalities and commercial interests and generates revenues to offset landfill operational costs. Monitors the landfill and oversees all staff and administrative operations.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to communicate, use arms and hands, and sit for extended periods. In the course of inspecting the landfill operation, the employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, and stoop. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move items of light weight, and must be able to travel to other locations.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly works in a business office setting but is also occasionally required to work in the field. While on project sites, the employee is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles, outside weather conditions and moving mechanical parts and/or machinery. The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet, but may become loud.
