Reports To: Director of Communications
The Strategic Communications Specialist is AlexRenew’s principal storyteller, leading the effort to build and protect the organization’s brand and reputation through content creation, ongoing website supervision, and by leading or assisting in the planning and execution of communications projects that have a substantial positive impact on our community. This work includes: Thoughtful daily oversight of website and creation of online visual and written content; supervision of external content and social media consultant; partnering with director to craft key organizational messaging; in partnership with community outreach and education manager, research and write educational content for community education initiatives; research and draft senior executive presentations; write and implement employee communications; write and project manage select award entries and print materials such as brochures, fact sheets, and our annual report; write press materials and opinion pieces; assist with issues management; as needed, support the communications team with event management.
