The Engineering Compliance Specialist is responsible for frequent and direct interaction with various stakeholders requiring good customer service skills. Specific job duties include the following:
Supports Senior Engineering Technician, Project Managers, and Engineers in the management of infrastructure projects; applies engineering design standards and procedures in completion of routine project tasks; analyzes, researches, and interprets data during review of study and design projects; develops and presents recommendations to project leads for assigned project tasks such as engineering plan review, field investigations, and construction management; documents and creates data in documents, files, and systems; completes quality control tasks for project submittals.
Provides customer service through responding to inquiries from developers, contractors, consultants and the general public; provides information and assistance to stakeholders on standards, CIP project goals, and development activities.
An Associate's degree in Engineering Technology, Construction Technology, or equivalent and one year of job related experience working for an engineering and/or construction organization are required.
A Bachelor’s degree in Engineering Technology, Construction Technology, or equivalent is preferred.
Experience may be substituted for degree. Education may be substituted for experience.
