The City of Olathe Public Works Department is actively seeking a Water System Analyst to provides effective and efficient drinking water through the targeted use of big data and advanced analytics. Areas of responsibility include non-revenue water program management, meter data analytics, and management of the Meter Data Management (MDM) system. This position will also be responsible for performing research, analysis and strategic support functions associated with water consumption, data storage and management of the City's SMART meters.

Required Education and ExperienceAt least five years of progressively responsible experience in the planning, construction and physical/financial operations of municipal water distribution systems including MDM analytics and associated billing systems. Experience developing or projecting revenue generated from existing water consumption data. Knowledge of water utility best practices. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong professional presence. Preferred Education and ExperienceBachelor Degree from an accredited college or university with a major in Computer Science, Data Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Business or other related scientific or technical discipline. A Master's Degree is preferred.
